Shuxian Liang is a Chinese artist based between Paris and Shanghai.

She received her Bachelor’s degree in Painting from Southwest University in China and later completed her Master’s studies at the École Supérieure d’Art du Nord-Pas de Calais in France. During this period, she took part in the Art+Image Master’s program jointly developed by the school and Le Fresnoy – Studio national des arts contemporains, an experience that further deepened her long-term interest in the relationships between art, science, and technology. In 2019, she collaborated with a biology laboratory at the University of Lille on the dynamic painting project Pluie.

Centered on drawing while extending into moving image, installation, and time-based media, her practice explores the connections between natural systems, data structures, and invisible relational networks. Inspired by neural networks, environmental transformations, and the circulation of information, she seeks to reconsider perceptual relationships between human and non-human worlds through different media.
